A First Look at Connie la Barbara
I admit that the title of this paragraph might seem misleading, but let me elaborate further.
Connie the Barbara is a 67-page color comic drawn by the skilled hands of Gian Luca Maconi. It goes without saying that your eye will often get lost on the valuable illustrations, overshadowing the dialogues and hidden details.
For those who have doubts, comicgames are a genre that ideally do not differ much from game books. In other words it offers multiple choices within what, when read, is a comic.
The Plot of Connie la Barbara
Connie la Barbara has an initially simple plot, which becomes more complicated as we continue the adventure. In the first pages the protagonist will in fact realize that she is in a cell, although this happens following a group sexual practice.
In this gamecomic we will not only take on Connie’s shoes, but also our own. The characters will be perfectly aware of our presence and the antagonist himself longs to put his hands on our body. To escape from the evil Voyero, we will have to make our way through various puzzles and constant sources of distraction.
Review of Connie la Barbara Mechanics
It can be said that Connie la Barbara doesn’t need a real regulation. The gamecomic flows smoothly and it will be up to us to choose the best path to reach and defeat the evil Voyero.
As already mentioned, the game continually breaks the fourth wall and the awareness of the characters allows us to continue the adventure. Many times a certain glance and the ability not to be distracted by the provocative movements of Connie and her companions will be necessary.
Conclusions of the Review
Connie la Barbara is a really fun gamecomic. One of its strong points is its continuous playing with the reader.
The title has several endings and it will be necessary to replay it a few times to realize that you have allowed yourself to be distracted, missing important crossroads.
I recommend Connie la Barbara to all those who want to try something new, having fun playing with Barbara and her exuberant companions.
