After the success of the first volume, we have a new title in our hands in this interesting format that resembles a notepad. We are talking about 60 small colour pages full of puzzles and illustrations. I invite you to retrieve our review of the first gamebook of this type, in order to have a complete idea of the series.

In case, once you have read our review, you want to buy it, you can find it in the physical version for around €9.90.

The Contents of Sherblock Holmes – Uno Scandalo in Boemia

As in the first chapter, also in this case we will be able to experience the story from the point of view of two different characters. The protagonists of our story are in fact Sherlock Holmes and Irene Adler, the famous couple who, as usual, will play cat and mouse, without ever openly outlining who specifically fills these roles.

The story will develop around a scandal whose protagonist is none other than the future king of Bohemia. You don’t need to be the best detective to understand Irene Adler’s role in the matter. The stone of scandal will be a photograph and we will have to steal it in one case and protect it in the other. A gripping story that, with its many enigmas, will keep us glued to its pages.

Review of Sherblock Holmes – Uno Scandalo in Boemia Mechanics

The rules of Sherblock Holmes – Uno Scandalo in Boemia are very simple and are all contained on the first page. In fact, it will only be necessary to continue reading and make your choice at the end of each paragraph.

In some pages of the work, we will then find parts of the text written in red. At that moment we can decide to turn the gamebook upside down to play the adventure as Irene Adler. This choice is possible from the first pages and we will decide which of the two protagonists to lead to victory.

Final Considerations

Sherblock Holmes – Uno Scandalo In Boemia is a particular gamebook, which I had a lot of fun playing. Knowing the first book and its hidden puzzles, this time I paid attention from the first pages and was very happy to discover that the secret ending of the first book could be a clue in this second adventure. An interesting choice that gives continuity to the work without however absolutely precluding a path for those who have not read the first book.

Alberto Orsini really did an excellent job with the story, and the excellent colour illustrations by Adriano Donato la Vitola complete everything. As they say, you don’t change a team that wins!
